Always Remember How to Forget

At four

he adored Thor.

Spending days and nights watching TV,

worshipping a talking bee.

At six

Mommy got sick.

Visiting McDonald’s for dinner,

walking back home in silent.

At twelve

he crushed on a girl.

Writing love letters, dreaming about kisses.

At thirty

the world became crazy.

Hastily buying pride sold at Sotheby’s.

Whatever happened matters to him no more.

He’s ready to make you see

that life begins

at fifty.

“A clear conscience is the sure sign of a bad memory.” ~ Mark Twain
