The Paradox Project – Four
Questioning the Answer
He used to tell me stories
about birds on trees,
boats on seas,
those and these.
I used to be satisfied,
nothing to hide;
all’s clear as white,
everything’s in sight.
Then he went away
across the ocean.
Night and day
I yearned for reason.
Tales are all I’ve got.
Why settles in my broken heart.
You mustn’t always believe what I say. Questions tempt you to tell lies, particularly when there is no answer. (Pablo Picasso)
